In the summer, I really want to feel easy, and this concerns not only the mood, but also the physical form. A useful recharge of the body will help to arrange a detox-diet, an important element of which will be chia seeds. The natural energy engineer does not contain gluten, and one serving will bring as much calcium as a glass of milk, as much Omega-3 acids as a large handful of walnuts, and as many antioxidants as a cup of fresh blueberries about several useful recipes with chia for detox.

Chia seeds, first discovered in Central America, have long been known for their miraculous properties: a handful of grains can instantly be charged with energy, and is also considered an excellent means of losing weight. Chia can absorb a huge amount of liquid at a time , and therefore are very effective in preventing dehydration due to active physical exertion or just on a very hot day.

The seeds of chia formed the basis of the menu of the ancient Mayan and Aztec tribes in Mexico – in translation from Maya they mean “power.” In summer it is especially useful to arrange for yourself unloading days, so we collected several recipes with chia for detox.

A great way to charge your morning with energy.

Number of persons: 2

Cooking time: 5 minutes


  • Frozen (or fresh) pieces of pineapple – 250 g
  • Turmeric – ½ tsp
  • Chia – 1 tbsp. l
  • Coconut shaving – 1 tbsp. l
  • Lime – 1 pc
  • Water (usual) – 1 glass
  • or
  • Coconut water – 1 glass

Preparation: Mix all the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Use immediately after preparation.

Refreshing drink for hot summer days.

Number of persons: 1

Cooking time: 12 minutes


  • Coconut water – 375 ml 
  • Chia seeds – 1 tbsp. l
  • Lemon – 1 slice
  • Honey – ½ tsp

Preparation: Put chia seeds in coconut water, mix. Squeeze 1 lobule of lemon and add honey. Allow the water to stand for 10 minutes. You can add ice cubes.

A fiber-rich breakfast, prepared on the eve, will set the tone for the beginning of the day and relieve the feeling of hunger until dinner itself.

Number of persons: 1

Cooking time: 5 minutes + 6 hours minimum in the refrigerator


  • Almond or coconut milk – 250 ml
  • Chia seeds – 4 tbsp. l
  • Cinnamon – ½ tsp
  • Vanilla extract – ½ tsp
  • Green apple, cut into cubes – 1 piece
  • Banana, cut into slices – 1 pc.
  • Strawberries, finely chopped – 2 pcs
  • Unhealthy coconut chips – a handful

Cooking method:

In a narrow jar (glass jar) mix the seeds of chia and milk. Add vanilla, cinnamon and a green apple. Close the lid and shake well. Put in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours. In the morning before eating, cut fresh banana and strawberries, add coconut chips.

An alternative to classic dessert is for those who want very much sweet.

Number of persons: 2

Preparation time: 45 minutes


  • Unsweetened cocoa powder – 80 g
  • Sugar powder from coconut – 2 tbsp. l
  • Coconut milk – 200 ml 
  • Ground chia seeds – 2 tbsp. l

Cooking method:

Peel the chia seeds in a coffee grinder or in a blender, then beat all the ingredients with a mixer. Put the resulting mass in either mini-bowls or in a large container and put in the refrigerator for half an hour-hour. Serve cold.
